I've been making custom figures for a few years now and I've gotten better at it over time. I'm more or less self-taught at sculpting and applying paint apps although I've taken some art classes in the past. I originally became interested in customizing when a friend asked me to customize and paint some of his Warhammer 40k Miniatures. Once I read some of the tips and tricks of painting and customizing from the books he supplied, I became interested in other things I could customize. Over the next few years I gained a great deal of my experience through trial and error.
